Sequel Med Tech recently learned about individuals impersonating members of our recruiting team. They are presenting fraudulent employment opportunities to obtain sensitive personal and financial information from the applicant.
These fraudulent jobs may be advertised on employment sites or mimic our careers site and company email addresses. Please know that Sequel Med Tech has no affiliation with or connection to these individuals or their actions.
Sequel’s official and verified websites include sequelmedtech.com and twiist.com
Sequel will NEVER:
1. Ask for money to purchase software and/or equipment as part of a job offer.
2. Send money of any form (cash, check, cashier’s check, money order, etc.) via mail or email to cover new hire expenses.
3. Request personal banking information, Social Security number or forms of identification during the interview process.
4. Request personal log in information to any platforms (email, social networks, IM services).
5. Request verification through online identity networks, such as ID.me, for background checks and/or proof of identification.
6. Extend a job offer without a submitted application through our careers page(sequelmedtech.com/careers).
7. Communicate using third party applications such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, or Gmail.
8. Contact you from any email address without the domain of @sequelmedtech.com
9. Pressure you into making a rushed decision to join our company without the opportunity to interview, research the company or verify the legitimacy of the employment offer.
If you have encountered any of these situations, we strongly recommend that you don’t respond, don’t click on any links, and don’t give out any personal information.
If you believe you have been the victim of a crime related to one of these scams, please consider reporting the matter to a relevant government entity, such as local law enforcement, the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (www.ic3.gov) or the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) (www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov).
